| The Sophia Peace Center offers two large cottages perfect for individuals, small groups or family getaways. They come with full kitchens, laundry, large living rooms and a handicapped bathroom. The cottages are in walking distance to some of the best hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing trails in the San Juan National Forest.
For groups of 12 or more our main lodge offers private and exclusive space to rent for weddings, reunions and retreats. With 22 comfortable & spacious rooms we can accommodate overnight events up to 80 guests. Our Grand Room, an expanse of wood and stone under an elegant, vaulted aspen ceiling, looks out onto mountain views and is the perfect reception hall for weddings of 100 guests or more. Our facilities include a variety of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces for spiritual or corporate groups, a granite outdoor labyrinth and pavilion. We cater to your group’s dietary needs including organic, gluten-free, and vegetarian options.
We are central to many cultural and natural attractions, including Mesa Verde National Park, Trail of the Ancients, Hovenweep National Monument, Ute Mountain Tribal Park, and Arches.
We also provide low-cost retreats for non-profit groups, by fundraising through the Colorado Peace Ride. |
